Missions

Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus says "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Cedar Springs Church fully supports the work of the following:

  • Hero Women Rising - aims to improve the conditions in which women and adolescent girls live in South Kivu province, eastern D.R. Congo.

To achieve this end, we use education and technology to amplify women’s voices; teach them to advocate for their rights and for the natural environment; build their economic capacity; and support the development of other community grassroots women’s organizations.
We envision a peaceful and prosperous eastern Congo, where women have equal access to meaningful decision-making at all levels and are empowered to contribute to society according to their own inspiration.

  • Light of Hope - Established in 2017, the Light of Hope program was founded to provide critical support to orphaned children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Through funding for school fees, supplies, and uniforms, the program addresses the basic educational needs of children who face significant challenges in their lives.

The mission of Light of Hope is to inspire and uplift these children, reminding them that their future is filled with potential and that they are not alone in their journey. Education is viewed as a beacon of possibility—a transformative tool that can empower individuals, instill resilience, and foster confidence. By breaking down barriers to education, Light of Hope works to break the cycle of poverty, paving the way for a brighter and more promising future.

This initiative stands as a testament to the power of education in bringing light to even the darkest moments, offering these children the tools they need to succeed and thrive.

  • Reaching Indians Ministries International (RIMI) - an international, interdenominational evangelical Christian organization established in 1993. Our vision is to glorify Christ by training indigenous leaders who establish vibrant Christ-centered communities in South Asia and beyond in order to transform lives spiritually, socially and economically. This is implemented by the partnership of God’s people everywhere.

RIMI’s core passion is Evangelism and Church Planting. To help support those efforts, we are also involved in Leadership Development and Community Development Programs. RIMI partially supports missionaries and their house churches across India. RIMI also has Bible Colleges in many states and a major seminary at the heart of India (www.mits-india.org). Additionally, RIMI has many community engagement programs, such as orphanages, schools, prevention to keep children from being used for sex trafficking, microfinance loans, healthcare, sanitation and clean water projects.
