Cedar Springs Church small groups exist for the purposes of biblical study and growth of relationships. In the words of J.I. Packer, "We should not think of our fellowship with other Christians as a spiritual luxury, an optional addition to the exercises of private devotions. Fellowship is one of the great words of the New Testament: it denotes something that is vital to a Christian’s spiritual health, and central to the Church’s true life…The church will flourish and Christians will be strong only when there is fellowship."

Cedar Springs Church has several small group that meet on different days of the week. Small groups usually meet in homes with a pot luck that is then followed with an in-depth line by line Bible Study of a book of the Bible. The setting is informal, but the study is planned and focused.
